Artists – Nipsey Hussle – Albums – Shuffle All
Every album and mixtape that you’ve released I’ve had on shuffle & repeat since March 31st. Not like I haven’t heard them all already, but I just don’t want to miss any word that was said. I didn’t want to miss your messages that touched so many people throughout the world; every piece of knowledge that touched so many that came from the same walk of life as you. A part of me still doesn’t believe you’re gone, one month later.
I’m just a guy who appreciated the message, lyrics, motivation, and commitment to the community, your race, neighborhood, and mankind, for that part that Nipsey expressed. I mean, I’d never think that one of my favorite rappers could have been slain, especially one that was literally on the brink of worldwide recognition and success. Especially someone that was so positive. You see, Nip was on his way to becoming a household name, if he isn’t one already. He already touched so many, honestly everyone that was within his grasp he touched and inspired. One that was literally on the brink of worldwide recognition and success. Especially someone that was so positive. You see, Nip was on his way to becoming a household name, if he isn’t one already. He already touched so many, honestly everyone that was within his grasp he touched and inspired.
“Regardless what you into, regardless what been through, I feel like I got to tell you that you got something to contribute.” That’s what Nip told people, that’s what Nip put in the atmosphere- ownership, overcoming odds, and love.
Someone said something along the lines of, how many people whose passing would bring tears to gangbangers, the police department, and everyone in-between? I don’t know of too many people that come from the jungle and not only make it out, but reinvent themselves, and then comeback to show the kids in the neighborhood the blueprint of how to make it out and inspire them. We can’t help where we are raised at, but Nip didn’t use that as an excuse to stay in the streets and exchange gunfire. Nipsey spoke of how he wanted to keep his kids far from the streets. He took care of so many people. He showed genuine love.
I don’t know when I’ll listen to anything else; it’ll probably be soon now that I got this off my chest. Your music just doesn’t sound the same. It’s eerie knowing that we won’t be getting anymore and that you’re not here anymore. So when I shed a tear it’s not for my loss, it’s for his family, his kids, his wife, and all the people whose life he changed and all the lives that he has yet to change.

While I have “keys 2 the city” from The Marathon album playing at max volume, I just want to say…
